ARCO in charge of External Evaluation of EU International Cooperation Project on Disability in Mongolia

    In 2015, ARCO was appointed as external evaluator of the project “Protecting the rights of the persons with disabilities in Mongolia through capacity building of civil society organizations” run by the local NGO Tegsh Niigem with the support of European Union and AIFO.

    This Project aims at protecting the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Mongolia through:

    • The improvement of the capacity of Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs) in implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD);

    • The support of the process of elaboration and preparation of the new Mongolian Disability Law in collaboration with Disability Department of the Ministry of People’s Development and Social Protection.

    On the 3rd of August one researcher from ARCO will go to Ulan Bator (Mongolia) to conduct the evaluation that will take into account the activities run in 2014 and 2015. The final Report will be available in December 2015.
