The project focuses on three macro-areas:

  • Services empowerment thanks to the implementation of a new integrated care model;
  • The testing of a new agency called Agenzia per la Vita Indipendente, that foresees the matching between persons with disabilities and personal assistants;
  • Community empowerment thanks to an online evaluation form that will allow persons with disability to express their opinion on the accessibility of public interest spaces in the city.

During the Seminar, Dr. Ciani will present ARCO’s methodologies in the evaluation of disability policies, with particular reference to the application of the capability approach in assessing them starting from the idea of the Project of Life.
ARCO presentation to the Seminar represents a first step before the implementation of these methodologies on the Umbria Region.
