Presentation of the WeWorld INDEX 2016 Report: “Children, adolescents and women: the world of the excluded”

After the Foreign Ministry, ISPI, the University of Turin and the University of Bergamo, it is ARCO and the University of Florence that will host the presentation of the report on the condition of children
WeWorld Index 2016” by the NGO WeWorld Onlus.

WeWorld Index_Firenze 11 ottobre 2016-page-001The report pays special attention to the wellbeing of children, adolescents and women, based on the assumption that the progress of a society should be measured not only by economic indicators, but also by analyzing the living conditions of the those that are most vulnerable and at risk of exclusion. Using 34 indicators, and in coherence with the Sustainable Development Goals, the WeWorld Index focuses on the strong link between the rights of children, girls and gender equality.
The report will be presented by Elena Caneva from the NGO WeWorld. Mario Biggeri (University of Florence – ARCO), Filomena Maggino (University of Florence – ARCO) and Alessandro Salvi (Tuscany Region) will dicuss the report for what it concerns the measurement issues and institutional challenges.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday 11th at 16.00 at the Social Sciences Campus (Via delle Pandette, 32 – aula D6/007)
