Prof Mario Biggeri participated to the conference on disability and inclusion in the Italian development cooperation

Conferenza Disabilità e CooperazioneThe national conference on “Disability and Inclusion in the Italian Development Cooperation” organized by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency and by the Italian Network on Disability and Development has been held on July 4th in Florence. The conference saw the participation of representatives of public institutions, local authorities, civil society organizations and of the private sector.
During the conference the results of the work of the National Monitoring Body on Disability (and in particular of the task force on disability and cooperation) were presented. ARCO is part of the National Monitoring Body on Disability and is contributing to analyse the structure and the activity of the Italian Cooperation in this sector.
Prof. Mario Biggeri, scientific coordinator of ARCO, was invited to participate to the conference to introduce the linkages between disability, cooperation and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Prof. Mario Biggeri is part of the Scientific Committee of the 3rd World Forum on Local Economic Development where he contributes to analyze the key challenges that are presented in the new SDGs and the related post 2015 agenda.
