On 9th and 10th November the Final Conference of DISCIT – Findings and Impact “The prospects for Active Citizenship for Persons with disabilities” will be held in Brussels.
DISCIT (Making Persons with disabilities full citizens) is a project co-financed by the EU 7th Framework program and involves 9 research institutions in 9 different countries. DISCIT examines how different types of policies can be mutually supportive in enhancing Active Citizenship for persons with disabilities. The objective of the project is to produce new knowledge to enabling Member States to achieve the full and effective participation of persons with disabilities in the society and the economy.
All the 9 countries will attend the Conference, as well as the stakeholders committee’s delegates and policy makers from European Commission environment. ARCO will be present as speaker in the closing session “How can DISCIT findings be used?”.
