Summer School

After the two previous successful editions of ARCO’s Summer School on Impact Evaluation Methodologies, two schools are planned for the 2017 edition!

Summer School Luxembourg

The Summer School on “Methodologies for Impact Evaluation”, organized by LISER in collaboration with ARCO, DISIA (Department of Statistics, University of Florence) and co-sponsored by the European Social Fund Project (ESF), the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy of Luxembourg, will take place in Luxembourg from July the 10th to the 12th.
The Summer School will be followed by the International Workshop on “Causal Inference, Program Evaluation and External Validity”, which will be held from 13th-14th of July.

In addition, the Summer School in Bethlehem from July the 17th to the 21st organized by the University of Bethlehem on collaboration with VIS (International Voluntary Work for Development), CEI, MICAD (Masters in International Cooperation and Development), Unesco Network and ARCO. The first two days and a half will focus on M&E with prof. Mario Biggeri while the remaining days will focus on impact evaluation methodologies with prof. Fabrizia Mealli.

Summer School Florence 2

The 2nd edition of Summer School in Impact Evaluation Methodologies gathered 21 practitioners, researchers and PhD students from all over the world. Prof. Donald B. Rubin and Prof. Fabrizia Mealli lectured at the morning sessions, discussing causal inference methodologies for assessing the impact of development programs and policies. The cutting-edge of impact evaluation approaches has been explored, starting from randomized controlled trials, which is considered as the gold standard for measuring an intervention impact.

Summer School Florence - Fisrt Edition

The first edition of ARCO’s Summer School on Methodologies for Impact Evaluation was successfully held in Florence on the 17th-18th and 19th June 2015. 36 participants, doctoral and post doctoral students, consultants and practitioners attended the Summer School and listened to the classes from prof. Donald B Rubin and prof. Fabrizia Mealli which are two of the most renowned methodologists.
