Researcher
Chiara Chimirri’s research activities focus on inclusive development, poverty and disability and qualitative research methods. Her interests also involve research on gender disparities and socio-economic inequalities.
Chiara obtained a Master’s Degree in Development Economics from the University of Florence, after which she worked as a research assistant with CIRAD in Madagascar and participated in various research projects and training activities in West Africa, North Africa and the Middle East .
She has been a project assistant for CISV in Benin for one year (2016). Her field activity involved contrasting gender violence and the promotion of theoretical-practical training activities for project’s beneficiaries in order to stem the phenomenon of illegal child trafficking.
In 2018, as a member of the Social Economy Unit, Chiara participated in the dissemination and support activities for social entrepreneurs for the Yunus Social Business Center University of Florence.
